does not appear to be any doubt
about the construction of the road,
and Its promoters state there is
already enough money in sight to
proceed with the work. It is
estimated that to complete the roail
will cost about 1, MX) anil this
amount Is now practically assured.
It Ih not the purpose to be con
tented with any slip shod sort of
highway, but to go in with the
intention of making it one of the best
in the county. It is a plain business
proposition which the cltiens of
Humpter regard as such, liurnt Itiver
will make a valuable feeder to the
city, and (he building ot (he road Is
a ipiestlou where mutual' iteresis are
involved.

A meeting of the subscribers to the
agreement for the orgaulatou of (he
Kumpler Commercial club will be
held at the Kills Opera house tonight

ganization, and the probabilities are

The management of tho St. Jno,
in the Ibex district, expects to

will tap tho vein at a depth of 150
