Tho shoot will be tapped at a depth of ninety feet on the No. 1 level, and tho plan is to drivo tho lower levels forward as rapidly as possile to tap tho shoot at greater depth. Tunnol No. 5 will givo a depth of about 400 feet, oponiug up an lm- mouso stoplng aroa. Tho California now has between 00, 000 and 00,000 tons valued at half a million dollars, and tho richer zone has nover boon touched. Work will bo resumed on tho concontrating plant at onco, and It will be pushed to completion as rapidly as possible. MERRY PARTY VISITS GOLCONDA Surprke Given Mrs. Carlson, Wife of Mill Superintendent. A jolly crowd went out to the Golconda last night to give Mrs. O. J. Carlson, wife of the mill superin tendent, a surprise party. The evening was spent in dancing, and frereshmenta were served, the party returning about 2 o'clock this morn ing.
