It Ih perfectly ilht and pioper that theie hhould bo 11 booial nido to the tiniil'iittliin. Thero should be club looms, reatilii looms and all such things, but this is not Its primary object. It should be for business ihii'iiom'S in the tirst place and the social routines, while necessary and ill a way piolllillile, should be made hccolldiuy consideration, it Is hardly necessary to call attention to these facts, as tho men who have sIkiiIUciI their will Iiikiiosh to become members of the club are business men and not liable to make this mistake, lint it has been made in numerous other Instances with disastrous icsuKh iih far as tho IcadiiiK end of such an Institution is concerned. Tho Miner is heartily in favor of tho move, and it commends tho business men of Suiupter for their public spirit the Suiupter spirit. Korenseu .t Co., hi the Hotel Suiup ter building and tills ore has been admired and pronounced to bo tirst class by all the local mining men. Kegardlng the extent of tho present ore shoot which was encount ered, the otllcers of the company stated that of course it wiih Im possible to give exact llugrcH on it, but judging from tho place where tills shoot was encountered and tho distance on tho surface which shows good ore, that it ought to extend throughout tho entire length of tho lluuunck Hum claim which is 1500 feel. Should such prove to bo the case this may be considered one of the most remarkable ore shoots ever found in the district. It is announced by tho compnay that t lie stock of the Highland will be advanced on May 1!, which Ih doubtless on account of thin rich strike. Tho stock is now selling at six cents.
