With tho completion of the organ
luynpfjthu Standard Consolidated
1 Minos company, Dr. Kd W. Mueller,
Mineral manager of tho corporatllon
now controlling tho merged proper
ties, 1h concentrating IiIh efforta to
ward tho prosecution of dovolopmoiit
"work on nil oxtondod scale. Work
has already Inioii Ixtgiin, mid tho

urn to Ihi carried on will muko tho
Qiiartzhurg ilitttriot 0110 of tho moHt
tiotlvo in tho country surrounding tho
iamp. Dr. Mnollor, of tho Killou,
Warner, Htownrt conipiiuy, which Ih
noting iih authorized fiscal agents und
handling tho Hlock, loft early this
wook for tho propotry, to carry for
ward tho pliuiH of tho company already
outlined.
According to tho policy of opera
tion by Dr. Muollor tho systematic
plan of dovolopmoiit will opon up
xovou woll demonstrated voIuh from
tho IowohI lovol, giving " depth of
1,200 foot. Work 011 tho Willie Hoy
rnsscut will lo Urnt taken up. TIiIh
tunnel Ih how in 4 HO feet and It Ih
vHtlmatod will reach the Willie Hoy
vein within tho next thirty or forty
foot, which, when it roaclm tho ledge,
will give a depth of over 1100 foot.
TIiIh crosscut Ih being driven to pen
etrate a pay shoot which assays on
tho cropping above $4f to $'l'iR,
'The illHtaiico between thlH crosscut
and tho point where the drift on the
Standard vein croHHCtitH the Willie
J ley vein, a little over H00 feet from '
tho Htaudard tunnel, there Ih already
n drift, on this vein of about 100 feet!
toward tho Willie Hoy crosscut. It

lrlft south from the Willie Hoy cross
cut toward the Htandard and con
nect the two tunnels by a drift that
will ho all tho way in good milling
ore and will cut three known shoots
of high grade ore. Upralhi's will bo
made cilutiootliiK with ortHscuta and
lrlftn higher up on this kiiiiiu vein,
thus blocking out immense reserves
mid furnishing the hoM veutillation.
Ah hooii iih thin work Ih well
tuidor way Hlmllar plaiiH will lie car
ried out .in extending existing drifts
on tho Htalidnrtl vein, further open
liiK "I1 there known ore bod Ion of
Ureal richuetw. Then in turn like
.development work will U taken up
on the Hide Issue volu which promises
epiito an well iih tho Standard and
then on the Juniper and Ruby veins.
All qf this development can be car
ried on in ore with very little dead
work.' It will. e seen that practi
cally all of tho rock taken out In
driving theso drift a on those veins
will be ore and will be sufficient to
keop a largo mill busy from simply
tho dovolopment work without doing
a foot of stonlmr. It is not tho In
tention of tho management according
to tho plans mado known to do any
stopiug at all for a long tnio, per
haps yoars, becauso it will be doing
dovolopment work on so many differ
ent veins and In so many different
plftcos that tho ore product will
amount to a largo tounago each day.
It will"tie socn also that this method
contemplates tho creation of such Im
moiiHO pro reserves as will mako this
ono of tho most valuable mining as
sotH In tho country.
HIiih a,ro bolng constructed to ro-
colvo tho oro that will bo takon out
in the dovolopmoiit work under way
until a suitable milling and concen
trating plant can be installed. Tho
mauaegmout Ih not yot ready to givo
any dotal Is iih to tho character or aizo
of tho plant, though It was admitted
that tho mill will bo of good slzo and
thoroughly up-to-date. A largo com
proHsor plant will probably also bo
installed. Tho company is to bo
commoudod for theso very conserva
tive and yot doicdodly progressive
plans and mothodH.

which is bolng drlftod upon is stead
ily improving in character Tho ore
Ih now a good milling variety and is
growing bettor in tho direction of tho
Haiiuockburn shoot toward which tho
company is drifting.
From tho (HiiHgow crosscut which
was recently complotod, tho company
is drifting on tho lodgo to tho oro
shoot of tho Haiiuockburn claim
where the croppiugs show a good
quality of milling oro to exist.
