and every tunnel. That a rotation
of claims extending across a gulch
from mountain top to mountaii top
has been opened up in no less than
seven places and to my knowledge
shows In every drift good ore values,
Is Indeed promising to nay the least
of it. If this is a 'wildcat' it has a
mighty rich llr."

The Hear Oulch placora, which
wore acquired last summer by tho
Hobsou Mercantile company, of thlB
city, aro to bo operated as soon as
thu water will run in the ditches.
This property Ih situated only a few
niles from tho city, and is . regarded
as a good proposition. It was profit
ably worked lust soeason, and its
present owners proposo to renow
operations on a largo scale during
thu coming summer.
Tho property already has on it all
necessary equipment and Improve
ments, and tho company is just wait
ing until tho weather opens up to
start operations.
Notice is hereby given that a meet
ing of the stockholders of the Dyson
Gold Mining company will be held
at the office of N C. Richards,
Attorney-at-Law, City of Sumpter,
Baker County, State of Oregon,
on Friday, the 8th day of May, 1003,
at the hour of 10 A. M., to elect
officers and transact any other
business that may come before the
said meeting.
