Durlug January tho company Installed an additional 80-11. P. Phooulx Holler, ' ,
equipped with a Cameron pump aud au Amorioau 80-H. P. food water heutor.
During January, also, was installed a lOxU 75-H. P. VULCAN GEARED
HOISTING ENGINE, equipped with a BOLTHOFF INDICATOR and a No. 2 SINGLE
DECKED CAGE, hung with a 7 inch plow stool wiro cable.
THIS HOIST HAS A LIFTING CAPACITY' OF 5,000 pounds, 450 foot PER
MINUTE aud is ADEQUATE TO ENABLE WORKINGS TO THE 1200-FOOT
LEVEL.

NEW CARS havo boon purchasod to enable tho company to carry its oro from tho
mlno to tho mill by tho train load, thus greatly facilitating tho matter of transportation.

bemused.
Tho company has 750 cords of wood, 6,000 lagglug aud 15,000 liuoal foot of
peeled tamarack stulls on its property.
DEVELOPMENT WORK DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY
During January the following workings were driven :
00 feet of drift in the tunnel level ;
70 feet of crosscut in the tunnel level stopos;
45 feet of drift on' the' 100-fdot lever;
40 feet of crosscut ou the 100-foot level ;
20 feet of drift on the 200-foot level ;
30 feet of drift on tho 300-foot level.
The work of deep sinking will bo continued until the ore bodies have been
opened to the 1200-foot level.
