the Elecrtlo Light and Power com
panies, la in receipt of a communi
cation from President Strahorn, who
has been traveling in Europo since
October, stating that ho will arrive
in New York about May 1, and will
be in Sumpter some time later. Mr.
Strahorn enclosed a picture of his
purso after ho had boon through a
"Venetian laco factory with his wife.
It looked vory much as if it had
boon stopped on by tho lute iamouted
Jumbo, or somo near rolativo of his.

This building, in which will be placed the exhibits of mineral resources
from all nations of tho world, together with mining mahlnery and
equipment, is 525 foot wide by 750 feet in length, with an exhibit area
of nine accres. Its height to the cornice line is sixty feet and tho
obelisks at the main entrance rise to a height of one hundred and fifty
feet. The building will cost approximately $500,000. Thero are no
galleries and tho outire exhibit area is on tho ground floor. Joseph A.
Holmes is chief engineer of this lmprotant department.
