Itoolsma, who la a thorough mlllmaii, carefully examined the ten stamp mill of the company, which ia located on the ground, he describes it as a well constructed reduction plant, requiring but little repulra before it is put in commission. "The Magnolia company should be grinding out the bullion by the first of April," saiil Mr. M. J. ltoelsma. "They have the ore and the mill on the ground to reduce it. The only regret I have ia that 1 could not secure the properly for my associates and myself." Hard Rock ia SciadU Tunnel. Wait Wade, mining superintendent of Granite, came over today. He states that for seventy-live feet the long Scandla tunnel in (Juebeu mountain has the hardest rock ever encountered in eastern Oregon, There are great hoje that thia hard aoue ia one of tho walla of the first vein and that they will soon break through into the lead, which they have now run over IfJOO feet to reach.
