On another claim they have nunk about twenty feet on n parallel ledge, eight feet in width, and found a highly mineralized ore, that Im lelng afcayed and 1h thought will hIiow considerable values. The formation is granite andgneiwH, exactly the huhio an found in the ma jority of the proportion in Cable Cove district. Mr. Northup kiivh the veiiiH in the dis trict are blind ones, all covered witli wash and not easily located ; in fact the ones they are now working on were pros pected some years beforu by other par ties, who abandoned them because they could not llnd the ledge, though their work, which is now caved in, was within a few feet of the same. Ho is very en thusiastic over their new find and will continue work indellnately. lie also Htutcd there was plenty of uulocated ground in Mint section, but It would re quire nn experienced prospector to locate to advantage.
