Sections. It shall he the duly of the Secretary of the Sumpter Volunteer I Ire Department to prepare aid file In the nflice of the Recorder ol the City of Sumpter. a list of the active memhers of said I Ire De partment, whlrti list shall show the dale upon which eich member of said Department became a member thereof, and which list may be revised from time to lime by said Secretary, but said list shall not at any time contain more than slaty names. Section 1. Any person claiming any exemption or privilege by reason of being an active member of said Sumpter Volunteer lire Department, shall not be entitled to such exemption or privilege unless his name appears on said list of active members of said Sumpter Volunteer I Ire Department, and In case the exemption claimed Is relief from the payment of a mad, street or poll tax under any ordinance of the Cliy of Sumplrr, such exemption shall not be allow ed unless It appears by said list that the person claim ing such exemption has been an active member for one year or more ol said I Ire department preceding the I'vyof such lax, I'assed the Council this 10II1 day ol April, loot.
