Montetto placer claim, bearing cold, with surface
ground varying from aao to 8o (eel In width, lying
and being situated In no organlied mining district.
Raker County, Oiecon, has made application to the
United Stales (or a patent to the said Montello placer
claim, which Is more fully described as to metes and
founds by the official plat posted on said claim, and
by the field notes of survey thereof now filed In the
office of the Register of the district of lands subject
to sate at LaGrande, Oregon, which field notes of
survey describe the boundaries and extent of said
claim, with magnetic variation at si degrees east, as
follows, lo-wlt:

a moind of rocks alongside, the quarter section cor

Total area, 17.611 acres.
Said mining claim being of record n the office of
the County Clerk of Grant County, Oregon, Vol. I
nf the Mining Rrcords thereot.at page 61 1.
This claim being for 1500 fret in length of said
claim, with surface ground varlng In widih from 40
teet near the south end to 180 feet at each end thereof.
The said placer claim hereby sought to be patented
being bounded on the east by the Tonslte Placer
claim, on the south by the lllacksmoke Quarts claim,
on the west by the Gold SianJard Qu.irli claim and
the Jump Oil Joe Placer claim.
Any and all persons claiming said rlaccr claim or
any portion thereof, so surveyed, described and plat
ted, and applied for, are hereby notified that unlets
their adverse claims are duly bled as according to
law and the regulations thereunjtr, wltlilndo das
