A private letter received by a gentleman
in Sumpter from Colonel Donan, states
that he read the revised proofs of his folder
and booklet, issued by the O. R. & N.,

these works the Sumpter district gets a
sqiiale deal.and people, here are anxious
and impatient for them to be placed iii the

9700,000 in gold and then apparently was '
exhausted and its owners abandoned it.'
Not long ago C. C. Damours began
work on it and uinoveied a big ledge

sarge is thought to be the source ol ,
most ot the wash gold washed out ot
Alder and other placets. The quart in
