The Mill street property owners, from Granite to Austin, have decided to pave, that business thoroughfaie with either cobble stones or broken rocks, with gravel covering. Change in Foreman on the North Pole. Thomas Evans, for the past nine years foreman of the North Pole mine at Cracker creek, arrived In this city last evening and takes Ills departure this morning for Flacervllle, California, his ' former home, and where his wife lias been for the past month administering to the comforts of her ulece, who is ill and past hope of recovery. Mr. Evans resigned his position with the Noith Pole mine, much to the regret of Mr. Meler, the manager. He is succeeded by J. P. Dr. Tape Now Ownes the Chipmunk. Yesterday Dr. Tape bought a half In-1 terest in the Chipmunk, a faction between the Bunker Hill and the Anualuler, from W. I.. Hudson. This gives him the un divided ownership of the property, as the other half was already his. The two mines on either side are being developed and, as every one knows, are shoeing up great values. passage.
