Oct 19-John Jctt vs WJ Coleman, action to obtain judgment for money due on note to plaintiff 203 Oct 16 J C Wooley vs M Sworts and G W Miller, action to obtain money owing on note 795 Very Bad Man While Acrou the Street. It was Sunday afternoon and the young fellow hadn't recovered from his Saturday night drunk In fact, he hadn't started in to sober up, was throwing In a fresh sup ply of tanglefoot at every opportunity. He had reached the fighting stage of his revelries and was looking for trouble in .1 Cracker street dance hall. A slender, neryous looking attendant was assigned the job of throwing him out. The bellig erent individual leisurely pulled off his coat, remarking: "Just give me time to shed my rags." He then squarred off for the first round, but the bouncer, instead of adopting Marquis of Queensbury rules, resorted to a little trick he had learned while playing football at Yale, made a low tackle and threw the hobo on his face. He then took him by the collar, dragged him out of the house into ten Inches of mud In the middle of the street and rolled him over. When that warrior arose, It would have been an even bet whether It was a man or a mud-caked post until he reached the other side of the street and began his brave talk. He then freely con fessed to the assembled crowd that he was a holy terror and could lick a platoon of Rough Riders. Later he had some ac quaintances open negotiations for the re turn of his coat and finally secured It.
