Progressive newspaper published at
Albany last November, secretary of;

When asked by a Democrat repre-!

registered as a Democrat, Mr. Schulu j
replied in Liic affirmative. 1
"I have come to the conclusion," I
said the former Progressive worker,;
"that President Wilson and the Dem- j
ocratic members of congress have.
made good on each and every pledge
contained in their national platform.
The tariff and currency laws have
been passed and they are botih meri
torious measures which arc drafted
in ihe interests of the masses. Busi
ness has not been injured as a re
sult of the passage of these laws and
on the contrary shows many 'signs
of marked improvement.
"While I Jiave always admired, and
stil ladmirc the personality of Colo
nel Roosevelt, I am firmly of the opin
ion that President Wilson has made
a better president than either Roose
