An interesting talk on electricity
was delivered to about 30 Boy Scouts
at the library last evening by R. U.
Steelquist of the Mountain States
Power company. Danger of playing
with live wires and the necessary
steps to take in giving first aid in

boys by the speaker. The subject was
timely in the light of the accident
which occurred to Dick Gilbert . one
of the scouts last week, who was se
verely burned as a result of contact
with a high-voltage wire.

PASSENGER TKAINS
on the
OREGON ELECTRIC RY.
In Effect Monday, March 15
NORTHBOUND
New Express Train No. 14, Eugene to Portland, will
leave Albany 12:47 p. m., arrive Salem 1 :35 and Port
land 3.45. It will make all local stops between Eugene
and Tualatin except Wintel, Loganvillc and Fellers.
Limited Train No. 16, Eugene to Portland, will leave
Eugene 1 :55 instead of 1 :40; Albany 3:07 instead of
3:00 arrive Portland 5:45 instead of 5:55. Stops will
be made only at Junction City, Harrisburg, Gray
(Corvallis), Albany, Orville, Salem, West Woodburn,
Tualatin and Garden Home. Observation-parlor car
and coaches will be carried.
New Train No. 20, Corvallis to Portland, will leave
Albany 4:35 p. m., arrive Salem 5:25; Portland 7:40,
making all local stops south of Tualatin.
Train No. 22 for Portland will continue to leave Al
bany 6:55 p. m., but will not stop at Pirtle, Wintel,
Loewi and Hazelau.
SOUTHBOUND
New Local Train No. 1, Portland to Eugene, will leave
Portland 6:30 a. m., Salem 7:35; Albany 9:26; arrive
Eugene 10:50, making all stops south of Garden Home.
Limited Train No. 5 will leave Portland 8:30 a. m. in
stead of 8:15; arrive Albany 11:07 a. m. instead of
11:10; Eugene 12:25 p. m. instead of 12:35. Stops
will be made only at Tualatin, West Woodburn, Salem,
Orville, Albany, Gray (Corvallis), Harrisburg and
Junction City. Observation-parlor car and coaches
will be carried.
New Train No. 7 will leave Portland 10:45 a. m., Salem
12:55 p. m., Albany 1 :53; arrive Corvallis 2:20. This
train will not stop at Wintel.
Minor changes will be made on other trains, as out
lined in folders. Details will be furnished on request.
