1 can corn, 1 cup Pour, 2leapoons
04k nip- powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1-8
teaspoon pepper, 2 egg yolks, 2 stiffly
beaten egg whites, sliced bacon.
Mix and sift the flour, baking pow
der, salt and pepper.. Beat the egg
yolk, till very light and add to the
corn. Combine the mixtures, stiM
ring constantly, and fold in the egg
whites. Cook on a hot greased griddle
and turn to brown on both sides.
Broil the bacon and arrange around
the cakes on a hot platter. S(,rv
immediately.
French Toast with Orange
Marmalade
1 glas orange marmalade, 6 slices
bread, 2 eggs. 3-4 cup milk, 1-4 tea
spoon salt, 1-8 teaipoon pepper.
Make 8 sandwiches of the bread,
spreading the orange marmalade be-tw-en.
Brat the eggs and add the
milk and seasonings. Dip each sand
wich Into the mixture, so'ikinrr suf
ficiently to allow all the liquid to be
absorbed. B.ke on a hot greased
griddle, turning so thai they are pol
den brown on both sides. Serve at
once.
Raisin Cereal Gems.
4 tablespoons fai, 1-2 cup tear,
