DAIRY COUNCIL ADOPTSSYSTEM Plan to Increase Consump tion of Butter Meets With Favor O. A. C, CORVALLIS, Mar 2 The printed card system to increase the consumption of butter which has Just been adopted by the dairy department of the Oregon Agricultural college will be used to some extent by the Oregon dairy council, according to plans made when the directors met. in Portland for the monthly meeting. It was decided to have enough cards printed to send 100 of each of the six different kinds to every jrreamery in the state. This is a plan whereby a printed card giving the food value of butter is placed inside the wrapper of each roll of butter. Cavalry Troop Organised O. A. Corn Pudding 1 can corn. 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon salt, 1-8 teaspoon pepper 1 1-2 cups hot milk. Beat the eggs slightly add the milk, seasoning, sugar and corn. Pour into a greased baking dish and bake in a moderate oven till firm. Baked Asparagus 1 can asparagus, 1 cup diced cel ery. 2 tablespoons fat, 1 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon salt, 1-4 teaspoon pepper. 12 cup milk, 1-2 cup grated cheese, 1-2 cup coarse bread crumbs. Cook the celery till tender and drain Melt the fat, add the flour, salt, pep per and milk and the liquid from the ca of asparagus. Bring to the boil ing point, stirring constantly, add the cheese and bet until it melts.
