Attempts Suicide
In St. Helen Jail
Dana S. Campbell attempts suicide
while In Jail at 8(. Helens pending
trial for non support of his wife.
Campbell was arrested at Brownsville
several days ago on a charge of non
support and on hit recognition want
to St Helens to meat tha charge that
was preferred agalnet him, and on
falling to toeurf bonds was placed in
Jail waiting trial. Just following a
h warty meal ho takes' poison which
failes to produce tha desired affect
and ha it now reported by tha sheriff
to be In a critical condition. Prior
to being placed in jail he made an
aVtempt la evade the officers and)
marry a girl to whom ha waa engag
ed which it additional evidence hold
against him at a man disregards the
law, Campbell Is aa ex-service man
about 25 years old.
