Cars Ditched When
Toledo Trains Crash
TOLEDO, Ore., Jan 6 The sec
ond train wreck last week occurred
within the city limits, a freight en
gine crashing into a string of flat
cart and tearing off the cowcatcher,
and front end of the engine and throw
ing two flat cars off the track. The
outgoing passenger train wat held
up an hour while the track was be
ing cleared.
It is reported that steam escaping
from the left-hand aide of the en- -gine
obscured the fare from view..
No persons were injured.
Last Sunday a heavy carload of
feed jumped the track near Blodgett,
tearing ip 100 yards of track.
