Dow, for many yean a reaiileltt of the Verdure neighborhood, ' died this morning at th family home on th farm near that place. Death came as an end of lingering ill nesa of many months. Three month ago se suffered stroke of paraly sis which hastened th end. The funoral will be held from the United Presbyterian church at Oak ville, of which ah was a devoted member. For. G. G. Wilson will Con duct th services. Mrs. Dow waa born In New York, February 2, 1846, moving with her parent to Iowa and later going to Illinois. . On September 9, 1KC8 waa married to Crwin Dow at Spring. field, III., and who survive her after' 63 year of happy married life. In the aummer of 1877 the family mo-ed to Oregon, settling on the home place near Verdure where ah haa lived fur more than 40 yean. Beside her husband, she la surviv ed by three daughter, five grand children and four great-grand-rhild-ren. Th daughters an Mn. Frank Hulburt, Sbcdd;. Mr. W. G. Thomp son. Verdure and Mrs. Frank Reiner, of Portland. Th grandchildren are Tracy Hulburt, B. C. Thompson, Mn. R. M. Lindsay and th Misavs Maudio and Opal Thompson. A sister, Mn.
