TO HOLD MEETING
Regular Bi-Monthly Meeting

The regular bi-monthly meeting- of
the American Legion will be held
Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock at the
armory. Among business matter will
be the nomination of officer for the
enduing year. Election will take place
at a later date. .
' Fourteeta questions of legislation
of vital interest to the Legion will be
voted on.- The report of the Armis
tice Day committees will be heard.
The Legion is making elaborate plans
for the celebration of Armistice Day,
the first annua celebration of the
ceasing of hostilities on November 11.
A large attendance is expected at
the meeting.

Received Car of Chandlers
J. L. Irvin is today unloading a car
load of Chandler automobiles, the
first full car load that he has been
able to get sfcee he assumed the
agency for the car last spring. He
is also expecting a car of Cleveland
in a short time.

ITS RED CROSS DAY?
A series of Red Cross "club days"
are to be held in all parts of the United
States during October. Oranges.
Church Societies. Business. Commer
cial, Rotary, Klwants, Advertising,
Fraternal. Woman's and other clubs,
are being invited to set aside a regular
meeting or a day for a special lunch
eon at which plana will be made for
aiding the Third Red Cross Roll Call,
to be held throughout the country
November 2 to 11.
The clubs will call tor volunteer
workers. Including prominent mem
bers for speakers. In the Interest of
enrolling members for the peace-tlmd
program of the Red Cross. Many of
the speakers on the war-time activi
ties of the Red Cross will be former
service men and women who came In
contact with the Red Cross on tho
field of action.
