Let the Wife
Get Away
This Advertisement Is for
the Men
VCe want to show him how to avoij doctor's bills.
The recipe is "send the wife on a trip and send the
laundry work to us." VC'hen he sees how fresh and
clean everything is in the returned bundles, and
notes the small charge, he will urge his wife to
send all the washing here, all the time.
Perhaps you have a laundress come in to do the
washing, but that ties a woman down to the house
one full day. Perhaps you have it done in the home
of the laundress. That invites contagion. The
safe way, the economical way, is to patronize the
steam laundry.
We soak the dirt out no nibbing, no wear and tear.
Your bed and table linen wear twice as long if wash
ed our way it's the rubbing that wears it out.
That's equally true of the garments you wear.
Hamlet well said. "ye, there's the rub."
Mr. Man-of-thc-House, when you find this on your
plate at dinner time give a moment to consider what
sanitary precaution is offered to you, what saving
in replacing rub-worn linen and decide for your
helpmate that washing is the business of the steam
laundry. Your personal wearables will last longer,
too.
