A public sale was held yesterday at
the J. A Byers place at Tangent
Mr. Byers and family are moving to
Independence.
A large crowd was present, and th?
sale was a success financially. Near
ly all purchasers made cash pay
ments, which indicates that the farm-
rs have money. Two teams of hor
s were sold for $400 each, 90 pound
hoats sold ior $17.50, and cowa aold
as high as $T5. The farm machinery
brought almost new prices.
