forth 16th Battallion Canadian High
landers, who serves for 13 months in
the rst line trenches in France and
Belgium. He fought in the battles
of the Somme, Observation Ridge.

tory as the world's greatest. Of a
battallion of 9000 men. he is one of but
four survivors. He wears decorations
from King Albert of Belgium (or
