40, superintendent of the Fischer
Boutin mill, was probably fatally
burned today. He entered the fur
nace while cold and in cleaning .it,
stacked the ashes between himself
and the door. A steampipe burst, and
trapped him, burying his face with
ashes and preventing his breathing.
Sfcam and boiling water literally
cooked his legs and back before his
fellow employes rescued him.
