pute between Dr. E. Ruff, elderly
physician of Junction City, and "Jap"
Sorensen rose here over settlement
of a bill. The amount was disputed
and the argument ended by each call
ing the other a "liar." The doctor
armed himself and meeting Sorensen
later demanded an apology at the
point of a pistol. A warrant sworn
out for the doctor's arrest on a
charge of assault with a dangerous
weapon was served. Justice of the
Peace George Young imposed a min
imum fine of $100.
