Chamberlain to Speak at Eugene
Geo. E, Chamberlain, United States
senator, will be in Eugene next Wed
nesday to speak at the University as
sembly on "Mditary Training." Sen
ator Chamberlain is chairman of the
military affairs of the senate, has been
active in recent legislation along this
line and is cooperating with the Uni
versity in establishing military drill
for iindcrclassment at the University.

The receipt of affidavits for liquor
shipments shows that the round-up
increased the importation of boose in
Albany considerably during October.
The number of shipments received
was 744, compared with 656 for Sep
tember and 593 for August.
