A Jersey Man
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Carey, of Lafay
ette, have been in the city on a visit
at the home of R. I.. Burkhart. Mr.
Carey is one of the most prominent
Jersey breeders in the state, having a

head crushed and wedged between
the bed and wall. The woman's two

terribly beaten and nearly starved.
The youngest will probably die. The
murder occurred several days ago. The
body was so decomposed it was dif
ficult to determine whether male or
