Hog prices were advanced another
20 to 25c yesterday. Tops went at
$9.05 with the bulk of sales at $9.00.
There were no extra choice hogs here

Locked in Jail
Ralph Thorn,' deputy sheriff and
candidate for the office of county re
corder, committed himself to the
county jail Wednesday evening about
7:15 o'clock. Just before the band
concert Thorn was showing a parly
of friends through the .county hastilc.
and to demonstrate how secure the
cells were he stepped into one of
them and snapped the lock on him
self. When he went to get out his key
wouldn't fit and Sheriff Undine
couldnbe found. At last, in despera
tion, when he became tired of being
his own prisoner. Thorn asked his
guests to procure a hammer, and the
Yale lock was batetred open.

from the school at Chemawa were
captured here last night on train U.
and taken by today by Luce, of the
