Eston Dockstcadcr, formerly of this
city, but now of Eugene, while coast
ing down the goli links there, collided
with another sled, with the result that
Eston received a severely sprained
knee, laying him up for several days.
Fixing Car Line
A gang of men today have been
busy fixing the street car line, in
jured by the recent snow and cold
snap. At the crossing particularly the
bricks were raised and distorted, re
quiring considerable adjustment to get
hhings on level. The damages altogeth
er is several hundred dollars.
Next Library Lecture
The next lecture of the library i
course will be by Dean Aldcn, oi Wil
lamette University, on Mexico, an
up-to-the-minute subject, and will be
given at the library auditorium on
Thursday evening of next week. Here
after the course will consist almost
entirely in lectures, of an instructive
as well as entertaining character.
