books, also to urge county
courts to provide assessors witli abstracts
and maps. Assessor York, of Yamhill,
introduced a resolutioa asking that a law
be enacted providing for deduction of in
debtness and taxation of mortgages. This
was laid on the table. The assessors will
meet again tomorrow witli the board of
equalization.

the jury this morning. After being out

guilty as per indictment, and recenimonded
