order. Quite a number of new faces
have been added. A pleasant reunion
was had or. the 2nd of all those who had

able to stand the winter and we are sorry
to say has ended this life's career and
calmly and quietly passed away.
Mise Jennie Turner, owing toill health,

and return to her home in Harrisburg
this week, where it is hoped she will
speedily recover.
Government Jetties. -Capta'n Symons
United States engineers, is returned to
Portland from a trip to Yaqoina. lie
reports that work has been going ahead
on the jetties all winter, with very few
days interruption on account oi tne
weather. The landslide in the rock
quarry sma-hed a derrick and an engine,
but opened up a lot of rock, so the loss
was slight and the work was delayed.
