knew her. On the morning of the 17th
instMrs Martha Mcllree passed from
this life to that beyond the vale. Mrs
Mcllree was 75 years old, was born in
Ireland and came with her parents to
America in her youth. After her mar
riage she resided in l'eoria county. 111.,
for many years, leaviuii there in 1852 in
company with Capt John Smith and
others. She was a member of the U 1'
church at this place from its tirst organ
ization, and was always found in her
place in church as long as her health
would permit. For about throe years
site has been a patient sull'erer awaiting
the final summons. The writer of this
brief sketch has been acquainted with
