Am eminent physician says: A healthy
liver secretes from two to three pounds of
bile every twenty-four hours and disposes
of this secretion where it will do the most
good. Now if the liver is out of order, the
whole system is in trouble, the spirits are de
pressed, the mind is not clear, sod a person
whoso liver is not performing its duty is
very soon unfitted for regular business. Dr
rleuley a Dandelion Tome rouses the torpid
liver and enables it to Derform its nroner

Overwork.
Washington, Feb. 20. For the past day
or two it has been privately known that Presi
dent Cleveland had been compelled to stop work
on account of sickness. He had denied him
self to all comers this week, and intended to
devote himself to disposinc; of the lone amount
of work that was on his desk, and accumulat
ing every day. He complained especially of
not feeling very well last evening and upon the
advice of Mrs. Cleveland, the family physician
was called in. He found the president suffer
ing from nervous prostration by overwork, and
recommended that he put aside his duties and
take a rest. The report at the White house as
to his condition is that he is now much better.
Whisky Did It.
Asmland, Wis, Feb. 20, A most atrocious,
murder and suicide occurred at Upson this
morning. A laborer named Joseph Brogan
killed his wife and two children, aged respec
tively 5 and 7 years, and then committed with
a dull razor. Brogon drank heavily, and had
a heated quarrel with his wife this morning.
He finally attacked his wife with the razor, and
nearly severed her head from her body.
A Hot Time.
Indianapolis, Feb. 20. There was an
exciting scene in the state senate this moring.
The republicansclaimed that they were subject
to gag rule, and Senator Johnson protested.
The scrgeant-at arms threatened to remove him
Other republican senators gathered around him
and defied the sergeant-at-arms.
A Drummer.
Seattle, Feb. 20. F. Sieinberger, who
says he is a drummer, was examined to-day on
a charge of stealing S200 from another drum
mer, named J. G. Brigham. The two "knight.
oi the gripsack" on Monday night started out
to have a little time. Brigham left his hotel
with 56oo in his pocket, and he returned to it
next morning with S64 and with twenty-seven
"Peter Funk" watches which in his - momsnts
of exuberance, he had bought.
