THE PROGRAM.
The first thing in the July celebra
tion will bs the game of base ball at
10:30 o'clock tomorrow between Albany
and Lebanon, on the college grounds.
It promioes to be a hot number. Char-

Albany, The last gime he pitched in
Eastern Oregon only two nits were

In the afternoon at 2:30 the races
will begin at the Bailey tracks, with a
splendid program arranged. There will
be three harness events and a running
race. For the 2:16 pace Josephine, a
fast California horse, Zom Norte, of
Salem and Iowa Boy of Hillsboro will
start, in the 2:25 trot there arenine en
tries including sob Huston's Black
Beauty of Corvallis, Sim Lindsey's
Louise, Mack McAlpin's Mae xilden,
Fred Woodcocn's Falmont, Doc Frazer

be illuminated, that is, most of it, those

Miss Myrtle Roberts, last evening
entertained several of her young lady
friends in honor of Miss Isaacs, of
aiedford, who is visiting here. A de
lightful time was had in numerous
ways. Besides the soci il part and
choice refreshments the .young ladies
took a couple of whirls together on the
merry-go-round, then they went down
to the Empire and laughed at the funny
things thrown on the canvass and
it was late in the evening before they
got through with their good time.
All singers who will take part in the
4th of July concert are requested to be
at the tent this evening at 7:15 o'clock
