Oregon's Governor has been mentioned, but he will probably not be named in the con vention. Nor is he a candidate. It will undoubtedly be better for him to wait until he has had an experience in the II, S. Senate. There is this to it, though, should he permit the use of his name it will be significant of the chances of the democratic ticket, for he has a way of getting on the winning side.
