CONNETT CONNECTED WITH.
Sherirl White last night received a
telephone message from Mrs. Connett,
mother of Ira Connett, who- caused a
sensation and much trouble by escaping
from the county jail, by sawing an inch
aud a half soft iron bar in two and go
ing up through a trap door and out
through the kitchen of the jail to liber
ty, that her boy had returned home,
and was quite sick, and desired the
Sheriff to permit him to remain at home
for a few days until better. The Sher
iff left this morning for the Connett
home near Sweet Home, and will bring
him back if in condition for the trip.
It is probable that the storms were too
much for him aud made him "crasy"
again.
For a young man whom it is very
doubtful" can be convicted of the charge
against him, Connett has acted decided
ly "obstreperous."
