The New Steamer. N'kw York, Aug. 29. The Oregon Im provement Company will take the steam ship Caracas of the Red "D." line around to San Francisco as soon as repairs arc com pleted on her, having recently purchased her. At Koslya. Clc-Elcm, V. Aug. 29. The diffi culty at the Roslyn mine No. 3 has take n a new turn. The N'arthwestern Pacific Railioad Company have settled the claim of Alexander Ross as to the title of the land on which the mine is located, and Ross moved off the place to-dav. T he railroad company paid all the costs incidental tothe prosecution ot tbe detectives and negroes ftr forcibly taking possession of the prop- ertr. As a result defendants were released from arrest, and ait complications arising rom coniiicting claims to the land are avoided.
