'J'he earth shook violently', swaying buildings and rattling dishes and furnituie. A second shock was flet about midnight, somewhat lighter and of about the same duration. Yellow l-'cvpr. Jacksonville, Aug. 15. The official bulletin to-day shows three new cases of yellow fever, no deaths, and twenty-three under treatment. There have been twenty eight cases here to date, and four t'eaths; on suspicious case and one death at Tampa. The weather is damp and sultry excellent weather for the spread of yellow fever. "If we had a hundred more locomotives and a thousand new freight cars we could only supply a portion of the demands for additional rol ling stock now coining in to us," rcmaiked a Southern Pacific oflicial this afternoon. "The extent of these orders is unparalle'ed. We thought we were in a bad enough way in this respect last winter, but it is much worse now. We are using 4500 foreign , freight cars;-- hat is cars that belong to other roads most of them from east of the Missouri river.
