A negro, sup. posed to be from Louisiana, entered his store and drawing a pistol on Stockner, who was alone in his store, called in a crowd of negroes and getting upon the counter auc tioned oil and sold ijtockner's stock of goods, delivered them to the buyers pocket ed Che cash, and with his crowd departed unchallenged and unharmed. Quick lVork. Hollister, Cal., July 8. Ye.terday afternoon during the absense of Mrs. Eng land C. Couithard their houses were brok en into and robbed of jewelry and several other articles of value. When Couithard returned and tound that the houses hail been burglarized he started to town to no tify the officers. On the way he was stop ped by two men armed with Winchester nflea and made to give up his wagon and team. The robbers drove near town and left the wagon, but took the horses with them.
