The lMttsburs Dis- fatcli says that Chairman Jones, of the re publican national committee, has in his possession a third letter which he has just received from Ii'aine in Scotland.and which is to be read upon the assembling of the national convention Tuesday. In it Blaine states most emphatically that he will not allow the use of his name in convention, and that he would not accept the nomina tion.though it were tendered him unani mously. Jones arrived here this morning, and says he never received such a letter. Trouble. Taco.ma ,W. T.June 13. There has been trouble at the Tacoma Ceal and Coke Com pany's mines, which, until to-day, has been kept so quiet that mone of the newspapers had heard of it. According to the acc.unt given by A. C. Smith, president of the com pany, the affair came near resulting in the lynching of J. W. Kelly. Mortality Kecoril. San Francisco, June 13. The aggre gate morality in ninety towns of the state forthe past month of May numbers 1O35, in an estimated population of 735,90 in habitants.
