Thoy fa vor full issue of greenbacks for cur rency as legal lender, speedy payment of bonds, no national banks, unlimit ed gold and silver coinage, eight hour labor law and protection of labor, abro gation of the Burlingatno treaty with China, forfeiture of unfulfilled rail road grants, denounce monopolies, fa vor legislation control of transporta tion, graduated income tax and just taxation and no restriction of suflrage. Tho Fomoroy ring of tho party, nom inated in March, also met in Chicago and did not act with the others. Thk Indiana Democratic conven tion elected Thomas A. Hendricks chairman, and instructs tho delegates to the National Convention for him. Franklin Landers was nominated for Governor. The platform pledges un grudging support for the Cincinnati candidate and platforms ; recognizes the bounties of providence in favora ble seasons, large crops and universal prosperity, and consider it blasphemy when partisan leaders claim the pros perity of the country as tho work of their hands; indorses Ilendrick's let- tcr of acceptance in 79 on the Chin ese labor question and the abolition of tho Coolie system ; condemns the negro exodus to Indiana ; the present State offices arc renominated except the Governor. According to the Philadelphia Times, holders of a largo amount of the Oregon Steam Navigation Com pany stock have filed a bill in equity te have the sale of the company's pro pe'rty set aside. The bill alleges fraud in the transfer, one of the specifica tions being that the property was sold for $2,400,000, while tho annual earn ings amounted to $1,200,000. The stockholders on whose complaint the bill was filed allege that the sum ob tained netted them about $10 a share, while the Oregon Railway Company, the owners of themajorityof the stock of the Navigation company, received over $100 per share for all the stock held by the company. A great reunion of old Winconsin soldiers is being held at Milwaukee, attended by Grant and Sherman; Grant was received with many dem onstrations and applause; 100,000 people were in attendance and many more expected. About 10,000 old veterans formed in hollow square, and a grand parade of veteran and citizen soldiery was arranged. Citizens of Toledo, Ohio, gave Gar field an enthusiastic reception as the train passed through, but he had on ly a few words to say. Another re ception was given him at Cleveland, and there was a ratification at New Orleans. 1. 3De-srim.e, B00T& SHOE MAKER Maushfield, Og.w WIIiIiDOAI.I.ItlH'IJS OP qttstoim: -woe-k in a thorough manner and use only the BEST MATERIAL. 0 IKS-Shop on Front Street, opposite the Pionei Market.
