Capt. Kadas is very enthusiastic
over his plan tor building a railroad
to carry ship-? across tbe Isthmus II
Bay : I have demonstrated tho foasi
'bility of my plan, ami .1 liave the as
surance of a number of capitalb-ts
that they are ready to furnish mo
with tho neceswarv nionev to conotruct
a ship-railway across the Isthmus of
Darien whenever I am prepared to
build it. Shipbuilders, men who aro
in the habit of taking vessel out up
on dry-docks, are tho most enthusiast
ic mon I have met in favor of ship
railway. They say it i a thing that
can be done, and that a hip can be
safely rupportod on a cradle for tran
sit without the least danger whatever.
I am making all arrangements as

The official count of the vote cast

Tlie lode is raid to be fifty miles

The minoa are situated in tho des
