whose members include sports -

ask other fish and game organiza

Ired were sportsmen over what
appeared to be a slight of the ar

Commission whose spokesman.
Cole Rivers, told the club:
“ If there is fish in any part of
the Rogue, sportsmen can reach
them easy with modem transpor

He pointed out that a few years
ago the Rogue had plenty of fish
and that deer were plentiful. At
that tim e, he said, New York,
Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Vlr

Those states got themselves
some good fish and game com -
inissioners and now they have
plenty of fish and plenty of deer
while Oregon is living on her past
reputation.
Rivers complained that there
was only $ 3 ,0 0 0 ,0 0 0 available
for fish propagation work and on
this plea the club voted to Join
with other sportsmen and to ask
the legislature for more funds.
