Hunt and Lingren; relay, Hiner, Howell and Shaw,Boulter or Wehren; shot put, Sandberg and Rhoton, discus, Lilly and Jones; javelin, Biggers; high jump, Boulter and Elder; broad jump, Wehren and Howell; pole vault, Coursey and Morrow. Rogue River officials will be acting in many capacities. War ren Center is now taking entries for the meet,Myn Busack will be clerk of the m eet with Russ Hawk as one of the judges of the s h o t and discus, Loyd Morrow as pole vault judge, Hugh Clark on the javelin, and Loyd Morrow on the broad jump, while Ron Brown will be one of three judges of the fin ish line. Jack Knutson will be the announ cer. CRATER WINS IN FOUR TEAM MEET AT ASHLAND Craters scored 93 ’ /2 points to win the four-team track meet held last Thursda at Ashland. Phoenix was second, followed ay Eagle Poi nt and Talent. JACK HOGAN R. R, 488 Talent high's baseball team de feated Prospect 7 to 1 at Prospect last Friday to lead the B league. On the same day, the Rogues a gain lost, to Jacksonville 15 to 7 to maintain the bottom of the lea gue. Weston of Pleasant Creek, and their son, Louis "Spook” Weston who has been home on a thirty day furlough from the Navy, took in the m otorcycle races at C resc ent City April20th. It was the Gr ants Pass field m eet. "Spook" entered the Drag, Ballon. Daytona and Slow races but we didn’t hear him bragging about how he cam e out. But he had fun before having to return to Vallejo this week-end to his ship, the SS Kidd. She landed an eighteen pounder. Mr. Hughes also caught one, a nine teen pound one.
