Mr. Delmar Smith has begun to extract this year's honey crop. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harris on recently, with several friends, Mr. and Mrs. Vince Sweeny of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Keen, Eagle Point, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gonazales of Talent, enjoyed a few days at the Lake of the Woods. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nagle and family spent Monday even ing in Ashland. Had a nice pic nic in Lithia Park. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Parent made a trip Sunday to Crater Lake and Fort Klamath. Tuesday evening Mrs. L. C. McMahan attended a surprise baby shower for Mrs. Seany of Medford at Mrs. Seany’s home. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dusenberry of Medford were Sunday even ing guests at Mr. and Mrs. John Cotas home. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Young and family attended the Gold Rush Jubilee at Jacksonville on Sunday. Mr and Mrs. Wilke Moore and family were recent guests of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Chureton of Brookings. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ellis, form er Willow Springs resident, who now live in Sams Valley, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Dixon Saltsgaver and Mrs. Julia Kelly recently. Mr and Mrs. Charles Hallett returned home Monday evening after visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earn est Bass of Arcata, Calif., for a few days. Mr. Hallett did some fishing near Trinidad and caught two nice fish, a snapper and a salmon. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Benton of Central Point and Mrs. Ethel Saldok were recent guests of Mrs. Julia Kelley. Miss Porter and Miss Deitrick of Lx>s Angeles, Calif., who are playing at the Wooden Shoe in the Holland hotel have been guests at Mrs. Julia Kelleys sev eral times this last week. Mrs. Kelley has known Miss Porter since she was a little girl. CENTRAL POINT, OREGON University Foresees Fall Housing Problem University of Oregon (Special) Housing at the University of Oregon will be taxed to capacity w^th increased enrollments of the fall term and officials will be faced with the prospect of housing some 300 men students in private accomodations in the community, according to Donald M. DuShane ,dean of students. University policy requires all freshmen, men and women, to live in dormitories. Upperclass women will be housed in dorm itories or sororities. Dean Du- Shane expects the sororities and fraternities to be filled to cap acity. University quarters for married students will also be filled. In addition to this housing, the university will obtain list ings of off-campus housing for upperclass men in order to ac commodate all registrants. Clem Ault is leveling a piece of their land on Taylor road to seed for permanent pasture. Mrs. Ault was a recent visitor in Portland where four brothers and three sisters of her family met for the first time in 13 years. She went up by car with her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard K. Hundley of Rich mond, Calif. She returned by plane. Visiting the Clem Aults last week were Mr. and Mrs. Guwein McCracken of Tule Lake, Calif. Also Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fielding and Katy, Mr. Ault’s brother of Long Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Ault and Mr. and Mrs. Fielding spent a pleasant weekend at Diamond lake. Charles Yell, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Yell, is home from the hospital. Recent visitors at the George Yell home were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Crenshaw of Fort Klamath, Mr. and Mrs. War ren Tackner of Tokote Falls, Miss Joyce Moore of Prospect and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Miracle, Mr. Robert Yell from Wenat chee, Wash, is now visiting at the George Yell home.
