The girls enjoyed swimming and then had a picnic supper at the park later in the evening. Refreshments were provided by the Job’s guardian council. Mothers, Daughters Present for Meeting Of Gold Hill HEC Former Oregon 4-H club mem bers who are now’ leaders in their communities are eligible fpr recognition awards including a trip this fall to the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago, reports Burton Hutton, state 4-H leader at Oregon State college. The National 4-H Alumni Rec ognition program is designed to recognize outstanding adults who and will afford more direct ser vice from the department. ‘In addition to testing warehouse and retail store scales, Robert son will also periodically check retail service station pumps in the six counties. This testing ac tivity is carried on by the state to assure both seller and con sumer of accuracy in transactions involving measures. Stoddard Accepts Dimes Leadership PORTLAND (Special) N. Thos. Stoddard, Portland realtor, has been named to head the 1957 March of Dimes in Oregon. Basil O’Connor announced in New York today.
