Kamloops Trout Eggs
Slated for Diamond
A half a million future
residents of Diamond lake were
hauled into Oregon last Tuesday
and delivered to their nursery
at Wizard Falls hatchery the
Oregon Game Commission said
today.
These new residents were eyed
KamlooDs rainbow trout eggs
from Beaver lake in British
Columbia. The eggs will be held
at the hatchery for about 30
days until they are hatched and
the fry then transported to the
lake and liberated,
In all probability, this will be
the last shipment of Canadian
rainbow stock for Diamond lake.
Next spring, fish from last year’s
plants should provide a source
of eggs for continued stocking
of the lake.
