Theta Rho Girls To Attend Assembly In McMinnville SUBSCRIPTION RATES One Year _ ___ $2.50 Six Months $1.75 Five girls and the chapter ad visor from Central Point will attend the state assembly for Theta Rho girls to be held June 14, 15 and 16 in McMinnville. Girls from the Beta Chi chap ter who will attend are Earlene Obenshain, Judy Singleton, Mary Elin Burkhart. Julia Thomson and Dorinda Glenn. Mrs. Ralph Burkhart, club advisor, will ac company the girls. At the last meeting of Beta Chi chapter, Mrs. Lillian Weid- fnan, Mrs. LaMurle Farrar, Mrs. Tempe Hayes and Jean McKay were initiated into the club. Mrs. Doris Burkhart was installed as club advisor. Remodeling Project Started Monday At Confectionery A new name, a new sign and a new look will soon adorn the former Wisely’s Confections building. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Titus, new owners of the confectionery, closed the shop this week for extensive remodeling. The new name chosen for the local business will be The Center Confections. Carpenters have been working this week to enlarge the kitchen facilities of the store. Counters will be rearranged and the in terior of the building will be redecorated Mrs Titus said that they are planning to design the confec tionery to provide take out ser vice on fountain and grill items.
